I’m no narcissist, but I figured we would start my blog off by talking about me 😊
Something personal that happened to me only a week and a half ago.
Since I’m about to embark on a new journey, we can start it all off together right?
What was supposed to be a casual first road trip as a fur baby family, turned into the most memorable trip I’ve ever been on. My partner and I have traveled the world together – over our 4-and-a-half-year relationship, we have spent 7 and a half months of it exploring 3 continents (Southeast Asia, South America, and Central America). But this – this was my favourite ❤

We headed to Tofino, British Columbia, for Easter long weekend. I had never been and always wanted to go! Nigel used to go a lot with his family so he was my personal tour guide. We had plans to relax, go whale watching, eat all the food and drink all the drinks.
The second day we were there was absolutely gorgeous – couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather. We did some exploring and decided to take some pictures at Chesterman beach. I was facing the water with Layla, our pup, and Nigel was snapping away for the gram. I turn back around and he dropped to one knee! A short and sweet proposal later, I said “finally” (which we’re counting as a Yes).

I then said I felt nauseous like I was going to puke, but the feeling was mutual so we weren’t concerned about it. Love sick I guess (heh heh heh).

More to my surprise, my best friend and her fiancé start gallivanting down the beach with a bottle of bubbles in hand – I couldn’t have been happier! (I definitely would have asked where she was). We popped bottles and celebrated by going to Tofino Brewing Co for beer. Basically the best celebration ever.

I had all my favourite people (and fur person) with me through it all.
Capping it off with an amazing dinner at The Wolf In The Fog, the 4 of us sipped cocktails with full bellies and full hearts.

Now I’m engaged to the love of my life and we are planning our wedding for September 2020.
More blog posts on wedding planning / stressing to come, I’m sure!

Anyone have any tips for a newly engaged couple? Or other engagement stories to share?
